          Then he started laughing quietly and suddenly his arm was on my shoulder. My eyes widened and the rhythm of my heart became irregular. A smile played on my lips. Oh right! I was suppose to be mad. Darnit! I tried to fight back the smile, but it just wouldn't disappear. I focused really hard on something far away until I managed to control myself. Then I pushed out my lower lip once again, only so I could get the whole i-hate-you feeling back.

          He leaned towards me, still laughing. He looked at me under his thick, dark row of eyelashes. I met his gaze and it was impossible to hold the already so difficult face I made. His eyes always made my mind wander off somewhere else. Then he stopped laughing and then, I should've known, he smiled that crooked smile. Stupid Scott. Always playing that trick on me.

          I smiled against my will.

- Why are you doing this to me, I complained
- Doing what? He said and shook his head slightly, but still with that smile glued on his face
- THAT! Exactly that! Can't you just shut it sometimes and let me be mad for a while, I said and crossed my arms.

          Of course he laughed..

- Now why are you mad? He asked, not willing to remove that darn smile.
- You know why, I snapped
- Hm... he said and tilted his head to the side. Then he continued:
- Well... you know what, it seems to me like you need some time alone to be "mad" as you said it... I should go, he said and headed to the door.

          I reacted instantly.
- What?! No! Don't leave me here!
- It's your room? He said and frowned, a smile playing on his lips.
- But you can't go!

He rolled his eyes and said:
- Fine then, if you really want me to stay, I'll stay, he said and smiled.

          I could see the tease in his eyes. Oh he sure was enjoying this. He was so good at this! Way better than me. That made me think a little... how was this guy at home? Around his friends... no, I mean girls..? Was he....? Was I...? No... impossible! I refused to think such a thought. I threw it in the back of my mind before it could develop into a more, horrifying picture.

          He went to sit next to me. I followed him with my stare. Then he put both of his hands on my shoulders and turned me so I could face him.

- Wow.. I've never noticed your eyes were golden before.. he said and laughed a little with no humor in it. He seemed.. nervous?
- Well, anyway... he continued. You see, I have to tell you something...

          What is it that he could possibly wanna tell me? My eyes started to glow with curiosity. Scott played nervously with his fingers, his eyes wandered along the wall behind me.

- Do you remember when you asked me why I didn't have a girlfriend? And I told you I hadn't found the right one yet?
- Yes...? This was making no sense to me.
